Wonder Woman -- Really?

Would someone please tell me why so many women are holding up Wonder Woman as a role model for their daughters?

Don't they understand it took a man to make Wonder Woman see that her obstinate refusal to accept the truth  about the causes of war led her to commit unnecessary acts of unspeakable violence?

Is that really the kind of woman mothers want their daughters to admire?  

How about all the violence itself that she instigated, which saturated the film pretty much from the opening scene?   If you haven't seen the film, picture a violence animator on steroids.

And how about Wonder Woman as a sex object?  A real babe.  A hottie.    

Really, why Wonder Woman?

Tax Day? Not for Everyone

Happy Tax Day.

As you consider how much of your hard-earned money you paid out in taxes this year, you might want to to consider some of the big businesses that did not pay any taxes for at least one year between 2008 and 2015.  Among them:   

Five years:  Boeing.

Four years:  Con Ed.

Three years:  International Paper, General Electric, Verizon.

Two years:  CBS, Exxon, FedEx, TimeWarner.

One year:  Wells Fargo, Yum Brands, Dupont, J.P. Morgan Chase, Scana, IBM, AT&T, Duke Energy.

...and more than 80 others.  Eighty!

As I say happy tax day.
